Question: How do i hook my pc tv tuner to my digital cable and get all of the available channels?

I am a subscriber to several movie channels and want to be able to watch and record the programming from these channels.

If you need a set-top box to tune in the channels you want, you can't use just the tuner card; you need to plug the box into the card. If you cable company supports cablecard, and your tuner card also supports cablecard, you could simply get a cablecard from your cable company and plug that in.

First you need the cable connected to your pc, then you should have gotten a cd with the application to run your tuner, install that and then you should see the tv on your pc.

Your PC TV tuner can't help with that problem. Unless you call your cable company and subscribe to the channel you want to watch, your digital cable box won't decode the digital channels. PC TV tuner can't display a digital channel unless your digital cable box decodes it. If you're determined about this, you can buy your own digital cable box that will decode the digital channels.
