What do u have to do to watch tv on your computer?
I have a p4 computer with windows xp home. i wanna watch tv on it. i know it's not a media center pc but i have heard that u can watch tv on any pc if u have a special kind of video card. but i don't know what that video card is and from where i can get it. it would be very nice if u told me how i could get that.i just have a normal LCD monitor.

I know you can split out the back of a cable satellite box, but that degrades your signal. I was looking at a USB device that supposedly had an HD tuner in it. I know older tuner cards have jacks to hook up an antenna but is there another easier way. Such as products by ATI? I want to have TV on my PC that I can save and burn to a DVD which would mean a PVR .If you have a good USB device or video capture card, please tell which one, where I can get it and where I can see the system requirements for it. So, I have windows 7, and there is a feature in Windows Media Center that lets you watch, record, and pause live tv on your computer. It says you need a tv tuner it like plugs into the USB port . What is that? Does it cost money? Or do you just buy the tuner and you don't have to pay the cable company anything?
